Our team, founded by three driven high school seniors: Emily Zhou, Eliza Kubicek, and Mirella Janssen, shares a passion for technology and community service.
Even as a team, while we each take on specific responsibilities within the organziation,
we prioritize a collaborative approach, addressing tasks and challenges with diverse perspectives.
Our emphasis is on collective brainstorming, constructive feedback, and
continuous improvement rather than on individual roles, which makes our organziation all the more unique and impactful.
Here are quick little descriptions of the SavvySenior Co-Founders!
Mirella is a dedicated student with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in her community.
Outside of her retail job, work with her wonderful SavvySeniors peers, and internship at a science journal, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, fine-tuning her photography skills, and exploring new series on Netflix.
Driven by passion, excitement, and unwavering optimism, Emily channels that same vibrant energy into her work at SavvySeniors.
As a committed student, competitive skater, and internationally recognized researcher, her top priority has always been serving her community and its members. When Emily is not immersed in her academic pursuits, you will likely find her curled up with a great book.
As a dedicated student, accomplished cellist, and lifelong soccer player, Eliza knows how to balance hard work and having fun.
When she is not with the other amazing members of the Savvy Seniors team, she spends her time reading, playing games with her family, and laughing with her friends.
